Gridlock Events was developed by Matthew Gavin and Charles Lew in the Spring of 2005 and quickly became one of Los Angeles’ premier nightlife special events companies. Since its inception, with the creation of Gridlock New Years Eve in 2006 at the world famous Paramount Pictures Studio Lot in Hollywood, the Gridlock identity quickly became a household name throughout Los Angeles and many parts of the United States. By continuing to adapt, Gridlock Events has evolved from a two person special event company into a multimedia promotional & marketing, corporate branding, special events, and Restaurant Group corporation employing over two dozen full time employees now known as The Gridlock Group.
Events ranging from 300 to 2400 people on any given night, we have always succeeded in producing reputable events both public and private, often seen in numerous media publications as the place to be. Public events ranging from top notch fashion shows for clients such as Calvin Kline, Lisa Kline, Fred Segal, Marciano, Dolce & Gabanna, Christian Audigier and others, to private events including Entertainment Industry events such as the The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween 2007 Premiere Parties, The OC Wrap Party, or Angelina Jolie’s Birthday Party. Gridlock, along with its sister company Hardball Productions, has always been known for quality events, with a respect for the people in attendance, while maintaining outstanding reputation for the management of such events.
What we are most noted to date for our strategic partnership with Paramount Pictures Special Events Division and Flaunt Magazine for our annual “Gridlock New Years Eve” Celebrations. This 7000 person event has become a staple in Hollywood events and promotions with an unparallel platform for entertainment and corporate branding opportunities on this special day.
Now having also partnered with Save The Queen Corporation, The Gridlock Group will be producing “Gridlock 4th of July,” the Nation’s largest Independence Day Celebration, to be held at famed Queen Mary Island in Long Beach, California. Boasting the largest fireworks show on the West Coast, a full Carnival, and world-renowned DJ’s and headlining live musical performances, this event will soon rival that of the Macy’s July 4th Celebration in Manhattan.
